Really good food quality and unique room designs. A generator made it difficult to sleep at night.

We went hiking and cycling, enjoying the beautiful scenery. The generous breakfast was a highlight, and the staff were super friendly. Loved the well-decorated Art Deco room with chilled water and nice bedding.
The only downside was that the shower had inconsistent water pressure, a bit annoying .

would book here again
The Rococo room was super quirky, warm, and cozy. The bedding was really comfortable, and I loved having a tv and a mini fridge. Breakfast had fresh, high-quality options with a takeaway box for leftovers, a nice touch. The location was charming, right across from a lovely churchyard.

If you're a fan of quirky digs, the Rococo room was an absolute gem! And boy, the friendliness of the staff was great. Plus, the building's charm had us capturing every moment on our cameras.
But, I've got to spill the beans-the bistro was a letdown since it was closed for holidays, and we were none the wiser! Our dining options felt a bit limited, a major bummer on our anniversary.

The Bohemian suite was beautifully decorated with vibrant colors and was spotlessly clean. Really good attention to detail was evident, from the nice pillows to the fridge stocked with bottled water and fruit. The bistro's dinner offered a good menu, and breakfast was extraordinary- a highlight of the stay, especially with the thoughtful takeaway box. Would eagerly return for another nice experience.

Warm & friendly vibes in Painswick!
Had a lovely 2 nights in the Rococo room. The food was delish, especially the pheasant pie, and Magda was super helpful with local tips. Only wish the owners were around to chat. The lounge area was cozy, but a bit small for larger groups. Cozy stay, def recommend for food lovers!

I really enjoyed the Retro Suite at St Michael's. The decor seemed like stepping back into the 60s. The bed provided excellent comfort, and the shower was perfect. I loved the bubble chair-it added such a fun touch. The staff were super friendly. The location allowed for peaceful walks around Painswick, especially through the charming churchyard. Communication could definitely use improvement. I missed knowing about the bistro's closure ahead of time, as I was really looking forward to dining there. It. Parking was a bit of a hassle too, as the on-street options were limited. I really appreciated the ambiance and quirks of the suite, but communication about amenities could have been clearer.
